Hey Everyone,
Im very sorry but this post is a day behind. I had a very busy day with work and school the past two days and did not get time to post.:( Sorry guys! But that means Double Post today! I had a hard time figuring out what to do for today’s nails. But i came up with something that i think turned out pretty cool! So today’s challenge is inspired by artwork so i thought i would try out Splatter nails!
So here is the artwork!
So for today i actually did my friends nails instead of my own! I think it worked out pretty well !considering this is the first time i have every done splatter nails. So first she painted her nails with Sally Hansen’s Xtreme wear – White on. Then for the splattering we used Color Club- Jade, Colour Club – Mint, Orly La Vida Loca and Wet n Wild – On a Trip. I used 4 colors for this but you can do how many you would like.
#31 Day Challenge: Inspired by Art work .. Splatter Nails!
How to splatter Nail Paint:
- First, Paint your nails opaque white (you could also do black as well) and let it dry.
- Second put Vaseline or tape around your finger so any paint that gets splattered onto your fingers is easy to take off. It makes cleanup much easier!
- Now comes the splatter! (tip- when doing the splatter make sure you have paper towel underneath your hand, because it gets very messy!)
- So place a few drops of nail polish onto a plastic bag and then take your straw and dip it into the polish. I found it was easier to almost scoop it into the straw because you want to make sure the entire circle is covered with polish. (tip- cut the straw in half because it will give you much more control over the splatter)
- Next, Place the straw about 2-3 inches from your nail and a then with a quick breath blow out the polish. (i found it helps to pretend your are sawing the word two or three as you are blow the polish haha)Repeat for all 10 nails.
- Then just clean up your nails by washing your hands with soap to get the Vaseline off and use nail polish remover to get an other nail polish off
- Then just finish off with a clear coat
A few other tips-
- i did each colour separately so jade on all 5 nails then moved to the next colour – La Vida Loca,Mint and On a Trip. I found it easier to do that. Also I used a separate straw for each colour because i didn’t want the other colour to splatter out as well.
- As well using a plastic sheet or plastic bag works well for putting the drop of nail polish you are using to splatter
So there you have it! Finished Day 27 of the 31 Day challenge! Thank- you to Danielle for letting me try out this Nail design on you! Hope you all like today’s nail design!
